Our little household
A place for a short introduction to your family, your season of life, and the details you are comfortable sharing.
why this place exists
Part scrapbook, part family journal, part field note from a life lived slowly and with wonder.
Hi, I’m Theresa — the heart behind Gathering Wonder.
I’m a wife, homeschooling mother of four, reader, writer, nature-noticer, and collector of small magical things. Around here, life is full of books stacked in uneven piles, kids learning around the kitchen table, muddy shoes by the door, garden experiments, half-finished cups of tea, corgis underfoot, and a constant search for the tiny bits of wonder tucked inside ordinary days.
Gathering Wonder was born from a longing for something slower than social media. I wanted a place that felt more like the old internet — a little personal, a little strange, a little handmade. A place to keep our days without turning them into content. A place for photographs, reflections, homeschool notes, nature walks, family adventures, recipes, rituals, garden thoughts, and whatever else feels worth remembering.
I’m drawn to green things, moonlight, wildflowers, old books, crows, mushrooms, handwritten notes, kitchen-table learning, and the kind of magic that doesn’t need to be loud to be real. I love a bit of whimsy, but I also believe in honesty — the messy house, the hard days, the overstimulation, the questions, the growing pains, the beauty and the ache of raising a family while still trying to become yourself.
This space is part blog, part scrapbook, part family journal, and part quiet rebellion against the endless scroll.
Here, I’m gathering the small wonders: the stories I don’t want to forget, the moments that made me pause, the lessons learned outside the classroom, and the glimmers that remind me life is still strange and beautiful.
I’m so glad you found your way here.
Come wander awhile.
